Of special note: received the Hispanic Scholarship Fund for three years running; Chair of Chicanos in Healthcare at Stanford and was a Med Ed Scholar at Duke University.
Trinidad Solis is a graduate of Stanford University where she received her B.A. in Human Biology with Honors. As an undergraduate, she served as the co-chair for Chicanos/Latinos in Health Education (CHE) and helped organize the second largest pre-medical conference held at Stanford’s Medical School. The mission of the conference was to recruit more minority students into the medical field. Trinidad also volunteered as the interpreter coordinator for Stanford’s Arbor Free Clinic, which mainly serves the uninsured population of the San Francisco Bay Area. She plans on using her interests in medicine and health policy to improve access to health care for underserved populations. Trinidad will be attending medical school when the Fellowship ends. Her executive placement is with the California Department of Health and Human Services and her legislative placement is with Assemblymember Manuel Perez (AD-80). Her hometown is Selma, CA.
