Miguel Martinez is serving California State Assembly Speaker John A. Pérez as a Field Representative for the 46th Assembly District.

Miguel, a graduate of UC Davis, considers education to be one of the most pressing public policy issues for the state. His hometown is the South Central section of the City of Los Angeles.

Prior to working in his current capacity, Miguel was one of six individuals selected statewide to participate in the California Latino Caucus Institute (CLCI) Senator Richard Polanco Fellowship for the 2007-2008 session.

Miguel is also very active in his community working in various capacities, including Vice President for the local neighborhood council and as an appointed delegate to the LA County Democratic Party. He is a proud committee member of the CLCI’s Madrinas Padrinos Leadership Program.
