Miguel Martinez, a graduate of UC Davis and the recipient of two B.A’s, one in Political Science and the other in Chicana/o Studies. He served as a Peer Counselor for the Educational Opportunity Program at UC Davis along with serving in several other counseling and leadership positions on-campus and the surrounding communities. He considers education to be one of the most pressing public policy issues for the state. His hometown is the South Central section of Los Angeles.
