She is a former Riordan Scholar and achieved the rank of Major in the Marine Corps Junior Officers’ Training Corps, the highest leadership position possible for a student battalion.

Jorge Madrid, a graduate of UC Santa Barbara and the recipient of two B.A.’s, one in Latin American and Iberian Studies and the other in History. He attended the National Young Leaders Congress in Washington, D.C and the Central University of Morelia in Michoacan, Mexico. His hometown is the Lincoln Heights section of East Los Angeles.
