Jamie is currently an Assistant Director for University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) State Government Relations Department. In this capacity he advocates on behalf of UCLA before the State Legislature.
As a congressional aide with Congresswoman Linda Sánchez, Jamie served as a Field Representative, Caseworker and Internship Coordinator. Prior to working in this capacity, Jamie was one of six individuals selected statewide to participate in the California Latino Caucus Institute’s (CLCI) Senator Richard Polanco Public Policy Fellowship for the 2005-2006 session. In addition, Jamie served in Washington, D.C., as a public policy fellow to AIDS Action Council, a national organization, dedicated to the development, analysis, cultivation, and encouragement of sound public policies and programs in response to the HIV/AIDS epidemic
Jamie earned his Bachelors of Arts in Political Science at San Diego State University (SDSU) and his Master’s of Arts in Public Administration at the University of Southern California (USC).
He currently serves as Co-Chair and Treasurer of the Madrinas Padrinos Leadership Program.
