Richard currently serves as the Director of Business Development for L Tech Network Services Inc. A locally operated network services provider for the City and County of Los Angeles.  Mr. Polanco is an active member of the Board of Directors for the Torch Foundation, a Los Angeles based nonprofit and at-risk youth organization.

He also served a two-year-term as a Commissioner for the Science and Technology Commission in the city of San Diego where he worked on policies focused in the areas of the Digital Divide, education and better contracting opportunities for local and minority companies.  Mr. Polanco also served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce where he worked with corporations and small businesses to create stronger partnerships and better business opportunities for its members.

By working on local campaigns as an advisor, organizer and fundraiser, Richard continues to advocate for the underserved communities and disadvantaged businesses throughout the southern region of California.
