Martin Fuentes owns and operates Martin U. Fuentes Insurance Agency, a member of the Farmers Insurance Group of Companies in Lakewood. Prior to opening his own business, Martin served as a field representative for Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard in Los Angeles. He also worked for State Senate Majority Leader Gloria Romero as a legislative aide in Sacramento. He has also been a political coordinator for SEIU, Local 1877 in San Jose.
Martin has extensive experience working on many political campaigns at the local, state and federal level. Most recently, Martin worked on the Steve Westly for Governor campaign doing Latino outreach within the Southern California region.
Martin was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. He has a bachelor's degree in Political Science from California State University, Sacramento. He is a committee member of the California Latino Caucus Institute's Madrinas Padrinos Leadership Program. In June of 2006, Martin was elected to the Los Angeles County Democratic Central Committee for the 50th Assembly District.
