Donna Kaylor joined Pfizer as a Government Relations Manager for California and Nevada in January 2002. Prior to joining Pfizer, she was a contract lobbyist for Platinum Advisors, a top lobbying firm in Sacramento. Her clients included: Sutter Health, Caremark, CA Nurse Midwives Assn, Good Samaritan Hospital, Target, Microsoft and other major corporations. In this capacity, she lobbied the California Legislature and state agencies, and organized both public relations and governmental affairs programs on behalf of individual, corporate and association clients.
Ms. Kaylor was a lobbyist for six years for the California Healthcare Association, a statewide trade association representing hospitals and health systems. She worked on many areas of legislation, including physician issues, emergency rooms, tort reform, employer issues, seismic safety and nursing.
She began her career in politics, with a Washington, D.C. internship with the Chair of the Ways and Means committee. In Sacramento, she worked for the Chair of the Joint Legislative Budget committee, Chair of Assembly Health Committee and Vice-Chair of Assembly Health Committee. In these positions she directed a legislative agenda, built coalitions with varied interest groups and governmental agencies and developed legislative informational hearings.
Ms. Kaylor holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from San Jose State University. She is a member of the California International Relations Foundation, Capitol Network and the California Elected Women’s Association for Education and Research (CEWAER). Ms. Kaylor is married to Jeffery Mason, and they live with their children, Madeleine and Bennet Mason in Sacramento.
