Ms.Perez,  President and Principal  of COPEREZ ,Consulting Firm   brings extensive "hands on " experience to the CLCI board. She has served on the on  the Long Beach Port of Directors for 12 years, and served as president of  this prestigious and influential board three time...She was the first minority , Male or Female to ever be selected to sit on this board . This trade related board is reasonable to set policy and bring international trade to California. She also served on the California world Trade & Commerce Commission, appointed by former Governor Gray Davis. Ms. Perez served as Assistant Chief Deputy to Los Angeles County Supervisor , Kenny Hahn for 11 years and at the Supervisor retirement, Ms. Perez became the Director of Patient Relation Services for Rancho Los Amigos, world renowned rehabilitation in Downey California before retiring herself in 2004.
 
Her extensive involvement in the Democratic Party  led her to run for office within the party structure, where she became the first Latina to serve as Vice Chair in the State Party ...and was elected to the DNC as the first Latina to serve as Vice Chair from the State of California as the nation's vice chair for the party.
 
Her retirement allows her to serve on many community boards and committees and spent time with her family, and most importantly her five treasures...her grandchildren!
