Priscilla is a senior vice president of TELACU Industries: a pioneering institution committed to service, empowerment, advancement and the creation of self-sufficiency. She oversees the TELACU Communications Group, responsible for public relations, information technology systems, graphics/creative services and corporate communications.
For nearly 20 years, Priscilla has produced TELACU’s annual fundraising dinners. Proceeds from these events have made it possible for thousands of Latino youth to attain their dream of a college education. Each year, the Foundation provides scholarships and comprehensive educational support programs to nearly 400 outstanding Latino youth in California, Illinois, Texas and New York.
In addition to serving on the California Latino Caucus Institute’s Advisory Council, Priscilla also serves on the TELACU Education Foundation and Hispanics for LA Opera’s Advisory Board. She has also served on the Membership Committee of the Los Angeles Music Center’s Blue Ribbon Committee and various other community-based organizations. Having strong roots in the Christian faith, Priscilla has also been involved in church government and service for more than thirty-five years, both locally and nationally.
Priscilla has been the recipient of the “Placido Domingo Award” from Hispanics for LA Opera, the “Spirit of Philanthropy Award” from the Association of Fundraising Professionals of Greater Los Angeles, the “Inspiración Award” from the TELACU Scholars Alumni Association, “Woman of the Year” Award from the Mexican-American Opportunity Foundation, the “Corazon de la Vida” Award from the El Centro Center, and the “Woman of Excellence” Award from Faith Community Church.
Priscilla and her husband, David, have one son and three granddaughters.
